Kalmar Nyckel partners with DNREC to celebrate new Sustainable Landscaping at Copeland Maritime Center
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Division of Waste & Hazardous Substances and the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their sustainable landscaping project at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at the foundation’s shipyard. Featured speakers included ecologist Matt Sarver and Sue Barton, associate professor and extension specialist at the University of Delaware, who discussed the importance of using native species to create a sustainable landscape.
Fall Lecture: Fred Hocker's "Vasa Cannon Project"

Copeland Maritime Center Building Tours
The Copeland Maritime Center is open for self-guided tours Mondays-Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm. Closed for education programs some days; call to check availability. All tours cost $5 Adults, $3 youth 6-17 (age 0-5 is free).
