Historic New Castle - Sail with us - NEW dates!
Kalmar Nyckel sails from Historic New Castle's beautiful restored Public Dock on Sunday, May 20 with a fun-filled Pirate Sail from 12:00-2:30 pm and a relaxing afternoon Sail 4:00-6:30pm (Friday 5/18 sail was cancelled due to inclement weather). A Benefit Reception for our foundation has been moved to the David Finney Inn on Friday from 6-8:00pm with beer and wine tastings hosted by the New Castle Community Partnership. Then join us for Dockside Tours as part of your ticket to A Day in Old New Castle on Saturday! NEW: Kalmar Nyckel returns to New Castle on Friday, June 1 - Sunday, June 3. Sail Philadelphia - Festival of the Tall Ships 5/24-28
Watch us during the Parade of Tall Ships on Thursday, May 24 and tour the Kalmar Nyckel on the waterfront (adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum) at Sail Philadelphia during the Memorial Day weekend (5/25-28). Kalmar Nyckel's Pirate Festival Returns - Sat. July 7th!
Saturday, July 7 marks the return of the popular Pirate Festival in Wilmington on our shipyard campus from 10am-4pm. Join us for family friendly pirate demonstrations, ship tours, activities for children, crafts, vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and more!
Save the Date! King Neptune Gala - Sept. 29, 2018
Mark your calendar for another great King Neptune Gala celebrating the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation on Saturday, September 29. Stay tuned for tickets, sponsorship opportunities, and tribute details. An evening of great guests, food and drinks, silent and live auction, and music in the twilight company of our tall ship at the Tatiana and Gerret Copeland Maritime Center is planned!

Visit the Copeland Maritime Center!
Visit and explore the Copeland Maritime Center and tour our exhibits during our regularly scheduled hours: Monday-Friday 1:30-4:30. Saturday 10 am - 4 pm. Cost is $5 for this self-guided building tour. On Saturday, May 19, the museum will close early at 2pm due to a private event.
