Wilmington Pirate Festival
The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation is hosting the 4th Wilmington Pirate Festival!
Saturday, July 7th, 2018 from 10 am - 4 pm
Ahoy mateys! Pirates are boarding Kalmar Nyckel. Join the fun with this family friendly day of pirate and maritime-themed activities offered at the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard and Fort Christina Park. Activities include loads of pirate history, lore and fun:
Pirate demonstrations by the Vigilant Crew
· Tours of the Kalmar Nyckel with friendly pirates & deck hands*
· Musical performances by Pirates For Sail
Aerial Pirates by Ascend Flow Arts of Wilmington
· Pirate Crafts*
· Pirate face painting*
· Food Trucks and Beer Garden (for age 21 and older)*
Fort Christina National Historic Landmark: tours and more. Children can earn Junior Ranger Badges!
Restored rail car from the original Jackson and Sharp Company on display in shipyard!
*Fees apply for some activities
