The Kalmar Nyckel, a replica 17th Century square-rigged sailing ship, runs educational and public programming in the Mid Atlantic and New England including daysails and offshore voyaging. The professional ship's staff includes: Captain, Chief Mate/Engineer, Second Mate/Education Officer, and Cook during the sailing season, and two winter deck hands and a part time engineer in the winter. To compliment our full time office staff, we hire a seasonal office reservationist during the summer, and some misc. other positions as they are needed.

Facilities Rental Coordinator: We are seeking a Facilities Rental Coordinator to help plan, organize and oversee 3rd party rental events in the Copeland Maritime Center and/ or the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard. This position is paid on an hourly basis. Each event typically requires 5-8 hours of work from fielding questions, completing the contract and overseeing the actual event.
