From field trips and classroom programs to summer camp events and community outreach, the Kalmar Nyckel and Copeland Maritime Center offer excitement and education. Students explore a range of hands-on, educational opportunities and experience history by living it.
Field Trips
Give students an unforgettable experience with a field trip on our Copeland Maritime Campus and the Tall Ship of Delaware. Students will discover the day in a life of a sailor, navigation, teamwork, STEM concepts, and much more on ship and shore.
Classroom Programs
We bring our innovative programs into classrooms across Delaware at no charge. Voyage Across the Sea engages students offers hands-on history and economic. Five Ways to Freedom: Navigating Delaware's Underground Railroad Network explores important details on freedom seekers’ journeys.
