Explore the Battle of Buchan Ness

Discover the story of the original Kalmar Nyckel’s last battle when she was sunk off Scotland’s coast in 1652, featuring an original oil painting by renowned marine artist Patrick O’Brien. Regular admission applies.  Free parking.

Join Our Volunteer Crew! Tours, Chili, Brew

Learn to sail, gain new skills & meet new people. Register today for our annual Volunteer Chili & Brew recruiting party on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4:00-6:30pm. Free chili and cash bar ($5 beer/wine). Free admisison & parking.

Winter Deck Tours Start Saturday, Dec. 6

Tour the Tall Ship of Delaware during winter maintenance season under our “greenhouse cover” (when the sails are down). Then take a self-guided tour of our Maritime Center for more great history. Ship tours are $5 per person.

LEGO Day Returns Saturday, March 7, 2026

Ready, set, LEGO! Kalmar Nyckel Foundation’s 11th annual event has fun for all ages and skill levels. Build LEGO kit models of historic and naval ships. THEN  build your own creation in our free play spaces. Contests judged by age group.
