There's always something to do this winter at our Copeland Maritime Center! Visit us on SECOND SATURDAYS for hands-on history crafts and activities (included with Winter Admission). Plan ahead for our 5th annual Black History Month event featuring two free performances of WILLIAM STILL by actor historian Keith Henley of The American Historical Theatre in Philadelphia. Join us for a Guest Bartender Night to benefit our education mission. Winter ship tours on Saturdays are weather & ship maintenance schedule dependent. Stories of the Underground Railroad: William Still, Sunday, Feb. 1, 1:30-4:30pm
Explore Stories of the Underground: William Still as portrayed by actor historian Keith Henley of The American Historical Theatre on Sunday, February 1 from 1:30-4:30pm. Honoring Black History Month, this fifth annual KNF event features TWO FREE performances at 2:00pm and 3:30pm. You MUST register to get show tickets!
Second Saturdays: Sailors’ Valentines Saturday, February 14 from 1:00-4:00pm
Set sail on a crafty adventure when sailors sent home tiny seashell mosaic love notes. Make a seashell Valentine. Give your love note away or keep your sparkling treasure.
Crafts & activities are included in winter admission: $5/adult, $3/ages 5-12. Under 5 is free. Visit each month for new Second Saturday activities.
Guest Bartender Night on Taco Tuesday February 3 at La Tolteca Greenville
Bring your friends and show your love for the Tall Ship of Delaware and the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation's programs. "Tip" our bartenders on Taco Tuesday, February 3 from 6:00-9:00pm at La Tolteca Greenville. Raffle drawings and $3 street tacos!
Winter Deck Tours - Saturday Mornings through April 25. Weather dependent
Tour the Tall Ship of Delaware on Saturdays, 10:00am-4:00pm during winter maintenance season under our “greenhouse cover." AND, take a self-guided tour of our Maritime Center for more great history. Museum admission is $5/adult; $3/ages 5-12; Ship Tours are an additional $5 and $3 (same age groups). Under 5 is free.
LEGO Day Returns on Saturday, March 7, 2026
Our 11th annual event offers fun for all ages and skill levels. Build LEGO kit models of historic and naval ships and build your own creation in our free build spaces. New rules to be announced in January.
Opening Day for Sailing Saturday, May 2, 2026
Celebrate the opening of the Tall Ship of Delaware's sailing season in Wilmington, DE. Take a self-guided tour of the Copeland Maritime Center. Stay tuned for more details - to be announced this winter.
