How did sailors have fun on long ocean voyages? Take a hands-on poetry adventure and write a mad-lib-style sea chantey that's wacky & fun. Then decorate a bottle & place your chantey inside — just like sailors at sea! Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation’s Maritime Center.
DE250 Tall Ship Brunch Cruise on Opening Day, Saturday, May 2

Sail 250 Festival Appearances in June/July
Kalmar Nyckel will be voyaging to East Coast port for special Sail 250 festival appearances. Dates and ports will be announced on our schedule below. Look for us in Virginia and more locations in June and July 2026.
